Gunfreak Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 with pimax openxr I can jump between open xr and steam vr there, so I don't need the open composite thing, and I suspect it's actually making my steam vr not work right, but there is no uninstall, ability, and open compoiste site itself doesn't say how to actually get rid of the program. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 3090, 64Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
mbucchia Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 (edited) That's all you need really: this will remove the reference to SteamVR in your `%LocalAppData%\openvr\openvrpaths.vrpath` which is the only leftover. 8 minutes ago, Gunfreak said: with pimax openxr I can jump between open xr and steam vr there Just to be clear the toggle in PimaxXR does something 100% different than what OpenComposite does. They're not at all the same thing. Edited September 24, 2023 by mbucchia I wasn't banned, but this account is mostly inactive and not monitored.

If I have open composite on steam vr, but pimax open xr on open xr, steam won't launch. If I have Pimax open xr on steam vr, but open composite on open xr, then steam vr launches. So pimax open xr seem to override open composite. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 3090, 64Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.

The experiment you described only proves that the PimaxXR setting is toggling your OpenXR runtime, which is the goal. I can guarantee you that OpenComposite settings makes no difference in your situation, because your game isn't trying to use OpenVR anyway. You seem to have no grasp of what OpenComposite actually does, so it's a good thing you're deleting it... I wasn't banned, but this account is mostly inactive and not monitored.
