edudix Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Hey Guys, I was taking the ILS information from the MAP data Airfield and I´ve realised that there are two data numbers, in example Persian Gulf AL MINHAD AFB has two ILS numbers. Just guessing the meaning of both: 110.75 IMNR and 110.70 IMNW. Which is the one we should use and the meaning of the acronyms? Thanks!!!

Usually different ILS have different frequencies. 110.70 is for runway 09 and 110.75 is for runway 27. Which one you have to use depends on which runway the active one is. If ATC tells you runway 09 is active, you need to use 110.70, if ATC tells 27, you have to use 110.75. The letters are the identifier for the ILS. Once you have tuned to the frequency and turn up the ILS volume knob, you will hear a morse code. If the letters of the morse code are identical to the identifier letters, it means you have tuned to the correct station. It's a way to make sure you didn't tune the wrong frequency. 1
