sjhorsley Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Hello, I have been working on creating missions and so far so good. However as my missions have become longer and more complex I find that I want to test areas of it down the timeline like 30 minutes or more. I have searched around and in the manual but can quite seem to find an answer. Is there a way to advance the mission clock and then jump in at a certain point so that I can test that spot instead of having to go through all the start up etc and 30 mins of the mission? I know how to speed up the time with ctrl z but would like to be able to just advance to a certain point and jump in to test.
razo+r Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 You cannot jump to a time but you can accelerate time. LCtrl+Y or Z depending on your keyboard layout.
rob10 Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 The closest you can come that I'm aware of (and the mission will still be starting at the normal beginning point -- i.e. no actions will have occurred) is to have an air spawn somewhere closer to where you want. If you have events that start after a set amount of time you'll have to start at the beginning and speed up time, or just orbit and speed up time. If it's a trigger that you won't fly over until you're 30 minutes in then an air spawn like this will work. The game will need to do the calculate what's happening from the start, so not likely to be any way to magically jump to 30 minutes in.
