Black Hot or White hot in PNVS

Hi Folks,

I'm new to the Apache and used to flying NVG in the A10, what is better for the PNVS Black Hot or White hot and what sort of picture should I be looking for as far as contrast and clarity of obstacles.

I'd be interested in hearing other peoples settings as well.

WHOT/BHOT and Level/Gain are entirely user preference I feel. Set it to whatever lets you utilize the PNVS for the situation at hand whether it's spotting things or avoiding terrain.

Didn't realize the PNVS was FLIR, I thought it was light amplification. That said, can you change from WHOT to BHOT for the Pilot?
