Yskonyn Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Gentlemen, no need to go into a 'no mine is definately better' arguement which neither of you are going to win. It will boil down to getting 'your right' with a possibility of things getting nasty. Just accept that there are people who prefer one over the other. It's just as we do with girls, really. ;) And be glad of it, otherwise we all would be drooling over the same girl! zika1234 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Problem with shoot Can anybody tell me why my shoot program doesnt work? See error in attachement please
Sharkster64 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I have never seen that problem before. I use Windows XP and have no problem with it. Did you install the 2.0 .net framework like it tells you to? I don't know if that helps or not. I'm not really the one to help you out with this problem. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Call Sign: Warhammer
Yskonyn Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 zika look at the Shoot! website. I think there's something written about it using framework 1.1 and Vista not supporting that (at least not without a tweak). Don't shoot (pun intended) if I am talking BS, because I am telling you from the top of my head. I remember something going on with Vista and Shoot. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asus Z390-E, 32GB Crucial Ballistix 2400Mhz, Intel i7 9700K 5.0Ghz, Asus GTX1080 8GB, SoundBlaster AE-5, G15, Streamdeck, DSD Flight, TM Warthog, VirPil BRD, MFG Crosswind CAM5, TrackIR 5, KW-908 Jetseat, Win 10 64-bit ”Pilots do not get paid for what they do daily, but they get paid for what they are capable of doing. PoleCat Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I just tried VAC 2.1.9 just to see if it was a better program than Shoot just out of curiosity. They have a 30 day free trial (the program should be free IMHO). I Strongly disagree that VAC is a better program. For starters, you can't map a joystick button to VAC which is a must. In shoot you can. Other than that the user interface is almost identical. The Recognition was identical. Shoot is also free. I would rather use Shoot any day IMHO. ;) To each his own. I like VAC much better thanks. Voice recognition in VAC for me is much better then shoot. Mapping a joystick button is certainly not a "must" as you put it. Why is it a must? You can just as easily add a keystroke mapping to a joystick button and you have your PTT. You are also correct that VAC is not free. To me this means it will continue to be developed and improved. Shoot well maybe, maybe not. Nothing wrong with paying for something if you feel it is both better and going to be improved. Sort of like Free Track v TrackIR IMHO. The former is great if you have no other option but IMHO most would rather have the latter for the reasons I stated above. Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
