[FIXED] HP Reverb G2 gone weird 180°. -> UNINSTALL NECKSAVER

G'day,

I fired up DCS to do some motion testing again and found that I could not use the headset.

On my screen I get the image posted, which is the startup view in the hangar  if I were turned completely 180° around to the opposite direction.

The view in the actual headset is now this, but also inverted 180° upside down as well???

I've uploaded the Nvidia drivers and repaired the DCS installation without a fix?

(And no, I am not putting the headset on the wrong way...  🤪)

Try to clean Environment Data for WMR. Maybe it helps

Yes, try that. This helped every time for me. Somehow, the device tries to remember your room wrong and wiggles around when you have a new bottle on the desk infront of you.

Sometimes the tracking got shuttering ingame.

As soon as i cleared Environment Data in the Settings of WMR software, this was all gone. Often i also klicked on "Raumgrenzen einrichten"(idk. how the english name it is for the room space), it all worked well for that day.

It became a procedure for me to do this every time, I start the PC and want to play DCS.

backup and delete your settings in the Saved Games folder, so these settings will be renewed? Maybe you killed something in the settings.

another idea would depend on how you use your HP Reverb in DCS.

Do you use SteamVR or Native OpenXR Support?

Cleared environment and reset home. No change. All the other VR titles work okay?????

Do you have XrNeckSafer installed ? That was the  cause of this problem in my case, just get rid of it.

Many Thanks Shug Ninx, That fixed it. I was running beta5a of VRNeckSafer. I didn't have any issues running other VR software.

I have since found that the normal DCS.exe was okay but the mt version suffered from the NeckSaver issue.

Trouble is NeckSaver lives up to its name...

Also DCS on the command bar was showing a question mark over it when bugged.

The use of a software/mod, that manipulates the display orientation ingame, indipendend from your head orientation, would be nice to know in your first post.

I never used VRNeckSafer but if you had told me, I would have pointed that out in my first comment.
