Morat Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 I don't think the improved spotting works well in VR. I can now spot aircraft and boats from a huge distance and then when I get closer they disappear again until I'm much much closer. Firstly the huge spotting range seems unrealistic, secondly it's ugly - it looks like a flack burst or an inkspot. Finally the scaling seems to be off - assuming the intent is to give us a better chance to see a few more pixels at range and for that dot to grow into the 3D model as we approach. That isn't happening, there's a lull in the middle where the 3D model is really small and the target is basically invisible again. This is in a Reverb g2 2

pixie Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 i think there is an option in the release note to kill this improved spotting, you have to modify (or create ) a line in the config file. I haven't tried yet, but I'm not sure this modification is effective
