Problems with gear function / mapping

As title, I am having issues with this. I have gear up and gear down mapped to the top and bottom position of my winwing take off panel gear lever. In slow flight, if I raise the handle up or down, the gear extends and retracts as it should......lovely. Also, I noticed that the undercarriage safety switch ( which I have mapped to a separate switch does not need to be operated when you do this, the gear lever travels "through" the lock cover ( well, it actually unlocks itself as the lever travels).

However......different story on take off. I am using the instant action F1CE take off mission. If I try and travel the gear on take off, in the same way as above, without touching the safety cover they dont retract ( unlike what happens if you do this while airborne) . Also, on the ground, if I press the "open undercarriage safety cover" switch first, it will not animate and move out of the way. It seems the gear switch is already in the "up" position, with the cover locked across it. 

Is this a controls binding issue, a user error in procedure or an issue with the instant action mission?

Hi,

Are you using the 'simplified gear lever' logic in the Special Options menu? It is currently bugged in ground starts. We are working on it.

Thanks, yes I did have that checked. Unchecking it sorted the issue out. I did have a couple of other quick queries, shall I ask them here or start a new thread? ( did not want to spam the forum..)
