markturner1960 Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 (edited) Hi, I am not sure if these are user procedure problems of bugs / problems, but have 3 small issues: I have made a re fuel practice mission for all my modules, including the F1 and it works fine with other jets, so I know the issues are F1 related. 1) I cant hear the tanker radio responses ( I know everything set correctly, as I hear my voice and I get the text and the tanker performs as it should and I can get fuel) What would stop me hearing the tanker responses in the jet? 2) U+V button. Previously when pushed, this would animate down and light up green. Now it does not seem to animate or light up? I have tried with the mouse and my bound sim pit controls. Is this a new bug? It does not seem to stop it working though, see above, but as it does not move or light up, its difficult to know if it is correctly set. 3) I have set the default channel for both radios at 251 ( Tanker frequency) in the mission editor, for the jet ( as its a real pain to do this using the thumbwheels) . However in joining the mission, despite pre set 1 showing in the windows, the dials say 127.55 ( I think...anyway, not 251.00 as they should) Why is this? I cant find any guide on YouTube that deals with the switchology procedure for refueling, does anyone have a link to this? Nothing in the manual specifically either. I am fairly sure I have it right ( as it works, see point 1 above) but wanted to check. Thanks Trying things in 2D and able to zoom in nicely, I can see that the U+V know DOES animate, but its very small movement....( which I could not see in VR...) hoever, it does not light up like it did before.... markturner1960 Posted October 25, 2023 Author Posted October 25, 2023 Surely someone must have some input on this? System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.
Buster0083 Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 I have the same experience if I fire up the refuelling instant action mission, with no obvious reason as to why with the way the radios are setup, volumes, etc.
Oesau Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 (edited) 2 - I saw this today and looks to be a bug 3 - the dial won’t change with the presets Edited October 25, 2023 by Oesau
markturner1960 Posted October 25, 2023 Author Posted October 25, 2023 With the radio preset thing - in my pre made mission, despite setting channel 1 to 251 in the ME, when you crew in to the jet, it is set at 127.50. Not sure how the supplied instant action mission for refueling is set up, ( IE do you need to input the tankers freq manually or not) but its the same in that one as well. In both missions, you can't hear the tanker responses and you can't connect to the basket. Probe goes right through. If you manually change the preset, you can raise the tanker, but not here it. You get the "call ready pre contact" text up and can respond when in position, and the drougue comes out. But you can't connect. So not sure if this is tied to the radios .....or not. Item 2 does seem to be working though, perhaps the animation or lighting is different, anyway, if you look right over the top of the 2 buttons and swap between them you can see them move and change colour. It is not very apparent from the normal pilots position though. System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.
markturner1960 Posted October 30, 2023 Author Posted October 30, 2023 Update on this: For me at least, since hotfix, radios are now working as they should, IE I can hear the tanker responses. So the outstanding bug / issue is regarding the pre set channels and the indicator dials not showing the correct pre sets..... markturner1960 Posted November 2, 2023 Author Posted November 2, 2023 Yes, but not only is the freq not displayed, it’s not set 0n the radio………so that’s a problem. Although I am mystified why the pre set freq cannot be shown in the modules?
