mvsgas Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 So I they trying to find buyers or did a country buy this? At first I thought the tread was talking about F-15SG or the F-15K, Both look amazing by the way, seen GE engines on a F-15 looks awesome To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
ED Team Groove Posted March 24, 2009 ED Team Posted March 24, 2009 My bet: Korea will drop their own KFX project and go for the stealthy F-15(E). Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
mvsgas Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 My bet: Korea will drop their own KFX project and go for the stealthy F-15(E). I don't know, I doubt Boeing will let them change the order. Also if they have different specs, it would be hard and expensive to maintain. Buying parts for both models. Beside Korea already have about a dozen F-15K I think. Not sure, I wander how many orders, if any they get. It is expensive to operate a F-15, it can use a lot of fuel. EtherealN Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 mvsgas, the KFX has nothing to do with Boeing so there is no order to change. The KFX is a project under development at Korean Airspace Industries. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFX_(aircraft) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester

Pilotasso Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) I think Boeing said that many of the current F-15 versions could be converted to SE variant via an upgrade kit. I doubt though that it will actualy be THAT much stealthy. I WILL be an electronics powerhouse. Edited June 18, 2009 by Pilotasso .
