SATAC 2023 - Week 7
Enthusiasts and participants, buckle up for another SATAC weekend brimming with aerial showdowns and high excitement! Saturday, 17th-Feb takes off at 1500z with a fierce clash between 238th Sea Vipers(EU) vs 25th Werehouse(International), streamed by @Airshow. The adrenaline doesn't stop there; at 1800z, prepare for two intense battles featuring at the same time between Eclipse Task Force(International) vs CETAV(South America), streamed by @AlphaGator and 51st PVO Regiment(CCCP) vs =08th=(South America), streamed by @9g | Surt. SATAC 2023 - Week 8
Get ready for a thrilling SATAC weekend filled with six intense matchups! It all kicks off on Friday, 24th-Feb-1500z, with an exciting showdown between -343ku-(Japan) and EFF(China), streamed by Surt. The action continues on Saturday with a trio of gripping matches. First up is the Alamo Aggressors(International) vs Garuda virtual air Wing(Indonesia), at 1500z, with plazma1945 | ReSiN capturing every moment. At 1800z, brace yourself for two back-to-back battles that promise to raise the excitement levels. Phoenix Task Force(EU/Pakistan) takes on RS(International), and you can catch the adrenaline-packed action on Airshow's stream. SATAC 2023 - Week 9
As we reach the midpoint of the SATAC group stage, the competition is getting intense, and the participating squads are demonstrating exceptional airmanship and sportsmanship. The first match of this week is scheduled for Saturday, 2nd-March-1800z, featuring =БК=(Russia/Belarus) against 364th FTQ(USA/International), and you can catch the action on the stream by @plazma1945. Sunday brings three more exciting matches, starting at 1500z. ! 4°|01(Italy) vs ECM(China), streamed by @Airshow. At 1800z, two simultaneous matches will unfold: Air Combat Role Play(Thailand) vs CETAV(South America, streamed by @Airshow, and a thrilling matchup between 9g(Russia) and TORO(Spain), streamed by @plazma1945.

Thank you all for your passion and energy! After careful consideration and discussions throughout the week, we have decided to revisit the roll-bug maneuver and provide clarification for all squads on how the bug will be judged in SATAC.

Roll-bug clarification rules

• BVR: roll-bug in all aspects - NOT ALLOWED
• BVR: max rolling angle allowed - 450° per roll
• MERGE: within 10km - Free maneuvers
• JAMMERS: blinking manually or by macro - NOT ALLOWED. (5sec intervals)

NOTE!
Pilots accused of breaking the rules will be required to provide their server tracks for review. This ensures a fair and thorough assessment of the situation. If anyone is observed using the roll-bug systematically, it will be judged at any range, even within 10km. The decisions made by moderators on this matter are not up for disputes.

We don't want to prohibit anyone from flying as they wish. It's natural that there will be grey areas, these grey areas will be subject to individual moderation, as every scenario is different. However, due to recent events, we find it necessary to implement these limits. While we encourage you to continue flying as you usually do, we kindly request that, especially when defending against missiles in BVR, you adhere to the rules mentioned above.

NOTE:
Given the increased number of squads in the knockout-stage this year, it's important to allow ample time for squads to adjust to the schedule. We'll plan accordingly to ensure a smooth transition and fair competition for all participants. SATAC organizers are working on LotATC prizes, missions, schedule, graphics and match pairings, that should take around two weeks if all go as planned. Significant changes are on the horizon as we transition into the knockout stage. One of the most notable adjustments is the introduction of LotATC GCI support, while AWACS-fed datalink will be disabled. We kindly ask all qualified teams to designate a squad captain and have them reach out to me for their well-deserved LotATC and Tacview Advanced keys.

In addition to LotATC integration, we are transitioning to a best-of-five rounds setup to provide teams with a genuine opportunity to adapt to the new format and ensure consistency in outcomes. As a result, there will be adjustments to the usual start times due to the increased number of rounds played. The updated schedule will be available shortly. This week will primarily focus on preparing the winning squads for the knockout stage and setting up the LotATC integration. We kindly request that qualified squads appoint a squad captain and have them message me for further coordination.
