Omdra Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Ok, ok, prolly way to early to show you peeps what i am currently working on, as them pics don't look to swell yet ... but what the heck Currently working on a Fictional German Army ISAF Skin (Tropen Tarn) The following pics where just thrown together in a hurry and are a first test of how the colors look. Well there is still alot of work to do and such, and i will keep ya posted :) Any ideas, hints and general comments are welcomed. Rgds Omdra
CrazyD Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Looks real nice Omdra. My only input to say at this point clicking on your link to view the picture results in multiple pop-ups (a tad annoying!). Very nice colour scheme - looking forward to the finished product!
Omdra Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) thx for your kind words CrazyD, gonna try to get that picture thingy to work with the next pics i am gonna upload other than that, skin wise, actually i am trying to have it look more like the scheme in this post (which means, its still a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go :smilewink:) With the current pics, i was testing how the official Colors after the propper RAL code are looking, ah well, at least i have something to do while its rainy and stormy outside Edited March 18, 2009 by Omdra typo / adding text
Sharkster64 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 A small tip I have for you is to put the picture above into photoshop and use the eyedropper tool to grab the colours off the photo to match the colour exactly to your skin. This way you are not trying to guess what the colour is and eyeball it. I don't know if you knew this already but I thought I would point that out. Can't wait to see the finished product. I like the look of German skins. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Call Sign: Warhammer
CrazyD Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Hey Omdra, I don't think its your fault about the popup thing - other people that link their pictures from that site have also had popups, so I think its the site thats at fault. One of the things I found with skinning is that to do a decent job, don't rush, save often (learned that one real fast) and when get stuck ask questions. If you can pull off your skin design to match your sample pic of the vehicle, that would be an awesome skin! Good Luck!
Airway Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Use abload.de and ready. :) My question: Where did the rotormast go in the first pic?
Omdra Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 (edited) rotormast? - guess i just missed that line when rewriting the skin.lma7 :music_whistling: Ah well, I just wanted to keep you posted on the current work progress. Been changing colors to what i think is more the real thing. Next up in line, will be to rework the camo pattern, as i am still using the default KA-50 Template camo pattern. After i will have done that, i wanna start with the "detail" work and such. Anyway, long story short, just take a look at the newest pics of my "work in progress" ;) Rgds Omdra :pilotfly: Edited March 19, 2009 by Omdra
