Hi,

I'm enjoying the campaign a lot so far but I noticed something a bit confusing.

When being cleared for takeoff tower gives you a QNH like 29.85 or else but in the mission editor I saw the QNH is always left at 29.92 standard in the weather tab.

I leave it standard now but the tower annouce is then irrelevant. Could be nice to polish that by setting each mission QNH in the editor to match tower annouce ?

Otherwise awesome work ! Can't wait to see where the next missions gonna take Cpt. Forrest !

Very good balance of challenge and guidance. Got me to dig deeper than ever into the F16 systems and I feel my weasel's abilities will amazingly improve from playing it.

Keep up the good work !

Martin.

Great to hear, hope you enjoy the rest!  ATC gives you the setting for QFE (field elevation), this is different to the QNH value in the briefing screen in game (which is atmospheric pressure).  It's very confusing and I barely understand it all myself 🤣.

Yes I do enjoy it very much overall, it's just a tiny detail but since everything else is so realistic and polished... I had to report it cause altimeter setting is a life/death matter in real life.

Well if it's a QFE then per definition the altimeter should read 0 on the runway. But if you set 29.85 as tower says in mission 4 you're still far from 0, still around 2200 ft close to H4 elevation of 2257 ft. That's why I guessed such small offset looked more like a QNH.

Actually I found a handy QNH/QFE calculator here https://www.sensorsone.com/elevation-station-qfe-sea-level-qnh-pressure-calculator/

With a QNH of 29.92 inHg as set in mission editor and H4 elevation of 2257 ft then tower should announce a QFE of 27.56 inHg ; )
