Did you place yourself on a FARP and if so, did you give the FARP any support vehicles with equipment?

If you didn't then they don't have anything to give you. ;)

Do i have to change to a proper groundfrequency somehow?

On airports you do not need to place any vehicles.

Tested with the door open? They might be unable to give you your Night Vision Goggles when it's closed.

Hi,

Yes, also with door open and engine shut down, APU Off... but as in the manuel there should work both options, i guess its somehow a switch or a ground frequency which isnt set properly

nope door open or close doesnt matter, all should work on an airfield..kinda weird it doesnt..adding fuel and command trucks etc might help. maybe your forgetting stuff at start up, use left win-home and when u started only switch to ground com on the left panel and try. it should work on airfields...

otherwise try adding the farp stuff, u can see what u need by just opening an existing mission and unhide units, u even can copy all the stuff at the farp and save it grouped so u dont have to go thru the pain of adding the support yourself

oh btw the ground crew switch isnt on the right panel its on the LEFT-LOWER panel, right under the engine selector, called something like spu9 radio knob selector...that needs to be on ground comm, i suspect your not doing it right.

i bet u cant rearm in a premade mission either (after your helo started that is, try the left knob (and dont forget to turn it back when u are gonna take off)

btw the night visor is crap, the ka-50 is useless as a night helo, thats why there is the ka-52/mi28. ok you can see a bit more in the dark but u lose hms.

Hi,

Didnt find nothing, thing is it doesnt work as in the Manual.

I Tried a Mission on a FARP there it worked..... hmmmm. I will try a little bit more, if i find it out i let you know what the prob was....

The only difference between the default and my own mission is, on the default mission i start the helo with the Quickstart combination Home+LWIN, on the own mission i have the situation that the Helo is already running (Takeoff position)

Im sure it is because of my position (runaway) ore one switch or something is not on/off, set proparly

Go into the editor, find out what the players/clients are by filtering only on helicopters. Change from take off from runway, to take off from parking and save. Now u can try starting up in the same way as the default mission, and u might rule out a few of the things you were not sure about.

News,

OK, I tried my own mission, i changed from Takoff position to parking position in parking position the helo is dark an cold, i started the helo with the Quickstart Hotkey, i only had to change the Switch on the left down panel to Groundcrew, it works.

so i assumed it has to do with some switche or the position, but would be nice to know the difference in settings between parkposition (dark and cold), and the Takoff position (Running engine)

I might have misread it so correct me if I'm wrong, but if you were on takeoff position on your map at the airport then I suspect it shouldn't work, since you would be on the runway and the ground crew is at the parking area. Haven't actually tried that myself though.

I have had this issue also when using take-off from runway (as opposed to take-off from parking) in mission editor. I found that if I took off into a hover, high enough so that the message "Druid took off from ...." is displayed, then landed again, I could then contact groundcrew. A temp fix, but an easy one that seems to work.
