Stuttering in MT on 2.8 and 2.9

I'm getting quite bad stuttering in MT on both 2.8 and 2.9. The problem has started in the last 2 weeks, it used to be smooth in MT on 2.8 but isn't anymore, it's never been smooth on 2.9.

I'm getting 40fps (ASW) constantly with plenty of headroom for the GPU, using openxr toolkit with turbo on.

I've reinstalled DCS and windows, DCS is installed on a m.2 drive

NVIDIA settings are default, DCS settings don't affect the stutters
