Guys, I just bought the game today and still haven't figured out how to turn on the chopper. I will get to it in time, I guess! But I want to know: how can I make the game look better with anti-aliasing? I have it enabled in my NVIDIA Control Panel, but still it seems like the game should look smother than it does. I have a 9600 GT, lines are very rough.

I had it on 16, maybe dropping it would help? Assumed 16 would not look worse than 4. Also is there a way to change the forum buttons so they aren't in Russian? I'm lucky to click the right buttons when posting.. :)

16xAA is not really required but if you have it on 16x lines should definitely not be edgy... 4x or 8x is about best what I would use.

About forums buttons... no idea as all my buttons are in English.

No longer active in DCS...

Thanks I'll make a new post then about that question.

ah I know why you got buttons in Russian. Go to DCS main page then switch to English language then click on Forum link/button... then you should have all buttons in English :D

DoH... now all my buttons are in Russian (because I went to main DCS website and switched to Russian language :D)

Crosstalker, in the nVidia control panel, do you have the AA set to application controlled? I believe you may have to select some override option to make sure the selection is applied in the game.

Personally I use the nHancer software for that kind of stuff since it offers a lot more options and is very easy to use

Hm. Weird.

Have you tried to see if the issue also occurs when using nHancer? I really like that piece of software and would heartily recommend it over the nVidia control panel.

@ Crosstalker:

I had this problem as well; I had AA set to 16, but still had jaggies... the fact was the AA was off, and to remedy the situation I had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers....I had to do it 3 times before it finally forced AA on!

Might seem obvious, but are you linking to the correct .exe? Make sure its DCS.exe and not launcher.exe.
