I think I saw a spider in there, which is great! I saw a series of videos by ahornetsnest on YouTube. He too is stepping away from individual LEDs in favour of strips. I’d love to see how that works! That's 20 LEDs at 10mA. However, that panel is using 2 LEDs per light for the rectangular ones, so if the LED forward voltage is less than 2.5V (Red LEDs are usually somewhere around 2V but check yours), it's theoretically possible to run them in series to reduce the current load on the Arduino. Basically; 10mA through two LEDs in series is 10mA total. 10mA through each of two LEDs in parallel is 20mA total. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Snakedoc Posted February 19 Author Share Posted February 19 I'm using regular 3mm led which you can find everywhere (I bought mine on aliexpress) They're plenty bright, in fact I've had to wire a resistor to them to reduce the brightness. Here's some picture of the "V.2" (in the video it was without any resistor). LEDs usually are current driven, not voltage driven, meaning that lowering the board across the LED actually doesn’t affect brightness (but could stop it from operating if too low). This is why PWM is normally used to dim LEDs. As for the result, whichever way you did it, the result looks really good! Do you print that in resin?
