You're probably the only one, so everyone else is confused. Officially, it's called the Eurofighter Typhoon, formerly European Fighter Aircraft (EFA, Eurofighter EFA), or EF-2000. Inofficially, EF is often used as an abbreviation. EU is normally interpreted as referring to the European Union.
