Hi. Got a DDR5 MSI Edge 790 (not the i version)

Was just wondering if upgrading my CPU from a i9-12900K to a 14900K or KF is worth it.

Test sites show about 12% general speed improvement. 24 cores versus 16 on the 12900K.

I’m on the i9-14900k, MSI mpg wifi ddr4 64 gb, MSI venturas 3x 4070ti, just upgraded from a asus ddr4 wifi which was the 3rd motherboard failure.

I really don see a difference as I run everything on ultra and high, looks the same to me.

Yea I second that. I am also on an i9-14900k and I am very much CPU bound in DCS (my 4090 is only at around 60-70% in VR).  I mean: everything runs nicely and all, but your CPU is not bad and I guess the (theoretically!) 12% faster CPU won't make a noticeable difference in practice. So IMHO the upgrade is not worth the price tag until ED optimize their engine.
