Hi all,

does anyone have FFB working with one of these sticks in WIN 11?  Win recognizes it now that I have the latest drivers, and the old Logitech Profiler software did initially see it, and run through the setup/calibration.  But no FFB for me in DCS on either the Apache or FW-190.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Silly question, did you enabled the ffb use at options tab?, also in order to "feel" the ffb efects you must tune axis at controls tab and tell the amount of ffb and shake effects.

Also DCS only enables the ffb while flying, not in main menu screens.

Tip 2. Make sure that you have not any profile assigned to the toy and tune the ffb at devices windows control panel to have proper forces, not too strong and not too weak.

Make sure you are not using any external program like simFBB , it enables a kind force, but overides dcs ffb control

Otherwise, apache has not ffb like shakings etc, it only remains the stick at the position you left it when trim button is pressed.

Hi Firefox121,

not silly at all!  But yes I have that box checked thanks.  I haven't tuned the axis to feel anything so maybe it is that- will check after work today.  I think I have removed all other devices from having the axis assigned, but in Win 11 settings- there is nothing that lets me set the FFB amounts etc.  (Only test that the buttons are working and that the axis are working).

I will make sure the other FFB apps are not running in the background also.

Just to be clear, can you tell me which button (what is it called in DCS exactly) is the 'trim button'?  I know of a few, and get confused by them.

Thanks for your help, will let you know if it works.

At AH64 its named force hold/trim switch, usually asigned ti trim hat up, but bind it where you can reach it easily because it shoud be pressed lots of times.

Usually you must remain it pressed to "teach" the flight computer ehat you want and depress it where you want the joy stay.

When you depress it and with ffb well tuned the wingman force 3d must stay at the last position . if you press comprensator reset or trim reset (Lctrl+T) the sidewinder must go to central position.

At huey for eample the key are T (to trim) and Lctrl+T to compensator neutral....and so on

In order to have this kind of behaviour, at tune axis ffb setting, (in choppers) the ffb amount must be less than 50%, else the spring will be strong enough and force the joy to central position

Thank you again very much.  I missed my chance to try it last night, but will do so this evening.  I suspect it will never work until I find a way to adjust the FFB in Windows settings.  Do you have a Wingman Force 3D to show me a screenshot of your settings?  Or do you have a Sidewinder?

Also if you wnat to use it ONLY withe choppers, the simffb app works fine, it allows to tune the two aes well and assig button to the trim functions to make sure the joy stays where you want. The only issue is that removes all ffb effects from planes etc,..... only for helos...but does his job very very well.

Here is the file https://github.com/joeyjojojunior/simFFB
