Unused Betty Voice Callouts

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone knows where the "Jammer" and "IFF" Betty callouts in the F-16 are actually used. It can be heard in the audio/lights BIT, but I've never heard them while flying.

Or is this something that was leftover from older F-16 blocks, and not in our block 50.

AFAIK the VMS lines for 'Jammer' and 'IFF' aren't used on U.S. models during flight, but are still present in the audio test (at least according to the -1).

I believe Danish MLUs have the 'Jammer' line active for when their jammer is ready to transmit, but is on standby or receive-only.

On some foreign models, if the IFF is operating in Backup mode, the "IFF" voice message will be played if the aircraft is not replying to valid Mode 4 interrogations. The voice message can be controlled with the MONITOR switch on the AUX COMM panel (AUDIO position = on, OUT position = off).
