CH4Pz Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 So just got through the RECON mission, as we started our run, i got the first 8 with a mav, then the 11 i had co-ords to with my 2nd mav (also request rotor to fire 1 harm), and then action went down, i then popped the FC with my harm. Then got rotor onto one of the popup 8's (which made him winchester), and i had to take the 2nd one with guns, but after i got the 2nd one, Rotor confirmed the kill, but after that, nothing!! The F10 option to cancel and RTB wasnt there either. So i circled till i had 2500 in fuel, then went 100miles to the tanker and came back, still nothing, even when i returned to H4 there was no options for contacting arrival etc, and score was only 50 I actually had a similar thing in M02, got the 3 8's, and 2 FC's for memory, and the mission appeared to hang, but in that instance i was able to cancel task and rtb, but did only get 85, even though i got all targets (i think). As for M8, I've just trawled through the triggers and it looks like you missed the comms with Sentinel after killing the second SA-8. Kills seems to have been triggered as the F10 options were removed and comms triggered, after this you would have had a message to contact Sentinel and press spacebar, I would guess you either missed this or accidentally cancelled it (which it is possible to do if you press backspace). 1

Yep that sorted it, the LIST, ENTER, 1, 1, trick works, although when i tried doing it on the ground one time, my speed brakes kept opening while in flight, and had to quit?! But think you were right, this time i skipped the initial 8 and just offset, and used that MAV on the Nth 8 instead, and then got the sentinel message. Such an epic mission though !! Just read the briefing to the next one too, which also sounds like a brain bender !! Thanks for the help

Hey @ChillNG, just got done with mission 9, your right it is intense, although, i just found a bug, on the way back to H4 none of the landing triggers worked. Forrest says to Rotor checking in with H4 so i went to Ch.8, there was no F10 option, sometimes i confuse approach with arrival, so tried Ch9, nothing, done that all the way down to landing, no F10 menu displayed at any times i tried.. just a heads up !!

I'll double check but you might have missed the approach trigger (should be on VH4 ch 4) . If you get too close to H4 without initial contact the rest won't work either IIRC.

I will say my nav stuff, wasnt aligning properly, like when i was at WP8 hud said i was 48 miles away, ive been getting it a bit lately, may be a F16 bug, but the autopilot still tracks correctly! but when i couldnt get contact initially i actually started doing a in-flight alignment, but wasnt done before landing and the menus hadnt worked so i just landed. The voice over, and HSI TCN both indicated 60miles though, and there was still no F10 menu

I'll double check everything just to make sure.
