solved Steam VR Loading Screen inside a Screen

Anytime I load VR MT DCS from within Steam, it loads another screen inside the main screen.  Its driving me crazy.  Im inside the hanger looking around normally but theres a box as if its virtual desktop mode inside the screen im looking at.  best way I can describe it. 

I got it to work once by turning off VR mode inside DCS, then loading it again to 2d mode and selecting VR mode.  But now I cant get that second screen to go away.

 

Any help I would appreciate it.

Figured out its when I enter DCS MT through Steam and not Steam VR.  I didn't know they fixed the Steam VR loading options to include the MT version.
