acid1216 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Hello all, I have a quck activation question. I tried the search function, but all it really did was confuse me. Anyway, I have recently acquired a new machine with XP and the option to upgrade to Vista. I have BS installed, but in order for me to change the OS would I have to deactivate, then reactivate once Vista is installed? Or can I just save the .reg file like in Flaming Cliffs? I had BS installed on my old machine, and I deactivated it beofre I reinstalled it on my new machine, but it still required one of my activations when I installed BS on my new machine. Another quick question. Is there really a noticeable FPS boost by going from XP to Vista? Right now i get between 35-50 FPS depending on the screen, but I haven't really learned the KA-50 yet and have not gotten into any real intense action. Any help is appreciated.
Guest Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 You should be able to do this without using up either an activation or deactivation. See my post in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36592 With respect to FPS, yes, if you have a multicore processor and you use the affinity trick, you can probably expect about a 50% increase in performance in Vista.
