dutchili Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 As the title says. Only way to back to the nav point is by undesignating through the TGP, which is annoying if you haven't loaded one. Reproduction: - prep Miz with one steerpoint - Load bombs -take off - designate any location with AGR/GM - try to undesignate
ED Team Lord Vader Posted January 22, 2024 ED Team Posted January 22, 2024 Hello @dutchili We would need a track replay to observe this behaviour as we're unable to reproduce it using your description. Thanks for understanding. Esquadra 701 - DCS Portugal - Discord
dutchili Posted January 22, 2024 Author Posted January 22, 2024 I'll get you a track asap. I think i missed out one important step to reproduce: get rit of the bombs before trying to undesignate.
dutchili Posted January 23, 2024 Author Posted January 23, 2024 To quickly show the issue, i did the following in the track: - hot start with 2 dumb bombs - set CCRP - create radar lock on sub-mode GMT - see the POI with JHMCS - switch back to CCIP (now the AGR does not show GMT anymore) - drop bombs - unable to undesignate as GMT is no longer available - switching back to nav does not change the POI cannot undesignate.trk
ED Team Solution Lord Vader Posted January 24, 2024 ED Team Solution Posted January 24, 2024 Hi @dutchili When you enter the CCIP sub-mode, it ignores any SPI indication, slaving sensors to the bomb pipper. There is nothing in that mode to undesignate regardless of what SPI you previously had. The diamond on your HUD/HMD coincides with the last location of designation, yes, but it's actually the last steerpoint with the added deltas. It's not actually a designation. If you press CZ it will revert back to the original steerpoint pre-designation. Hope I could help you understand this. 1 Esquadra 701 - DCS Portugal - Discord
dutchili Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 Are you sure CZ is available in AGR? CZ is available in the TGP sensor, but that was not loaded on this flight. I tried to TMS down in AGR but without the CZ effect. I don't a OSB button for CZ. Is there another button/command to CZ?
dutchili Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 I checked the solution offered by @Lord Vader. The Cursor Zero feature is indeed available on the AGR (no sub-mode) MFD page and resets the diamond to the selected steerpoint location. Thanks! 1
ED Team Lord Vader Posted January 24, 2024 ED Team Posted January 24, 2024 Glad to help. Happy flying. 1 Esquadra 701 - DCS Portugal - Discord
