104th_Money Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 After some upgrades and overclocking I was monitoring my DCS performance with different apps and noticed in the DCS FPS counter that there is a section that says Video Mem xxx/xxxx usage/budget. I see it using about 10gb of Vram and budgets the entire 24gb of Vram on my 3090. At the same time in task manager, usage shows about 60-65% on average. Why wouldnt DCS use more available Vram instead of just requesting the Vram and holding it for use? Just trying to squeeze out maximum performance from my machine... fab.13 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 (edited) Maybe vram caching, so not managed by DCS itself Anyway, if your game experience is good and better with your tunning, don’t look too much at monitoring and play Edited February 2, 2024 by fab.13 1
