SrSosio Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 Hi. I built myself some MPCDs for the Apache, and they are working very nicely. However, I noticed that the brightness knob does nothing to the output (it works normally in the main screen). Has anyone noticed this before? Picture for reference. In this one I had not done anything to the brigthness yet (as you can see in the main monitor):
Scaley Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 I suspect this is intentional, since the way DCS renders the exports is different to the displays in the main window. IN the main window there is some attempt at simulating the effects of ambient light, so the displays look much brighter in the dark. The exported displays do not have this effect. If the brightness knob affected both then when you turned down the brightness at night the exports would be way too dim. 476th vFighter Group Main Page -- YouTube -- Discord Scaley AV YouTube - More videos from the 476th
shagrat Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Same problem here. And intentional or not, it should be working on both displays, as in most aircraft adjusting the map backlight against the symbology, is crucial to optimize readability. The CP/G TDU is affected as well. If this is indeed intentional, please consider to make this an option (screen export - fixed brightness vs. adjustable brightness). [DBS]El_Marta Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 I experience the same issue with the WinWing MIPs. This only happens with the Apache. In the F18 and F14 the brightness manipulation is synchronized on all displays.
