Yes, great view.  Should be easily selected through the "F" keys

Games that features such things usually 'strap' a virtual camera onto a 3D models head that features a lot movement. If there's a way to implement this would be cool for video creation, though.

Yep, I use it in 2D. Does show a fair amount of movement for immersion. I like it, some don't. I guess OP is referring to something more camera like like a go pro POV.

Here on video we have Sony action cam with optical stabilisation system, so we have pretty smooth picture. If ED add opportunity to use TrackIR input (as now but a bit smoother) and add some go pro on each helmet with opportunity to change cam`position as RCtrl+F2 that we have now would be great) The only problem I see is to do head`  output more smooth. But there we can have "optical stab for dcs helmet cam option" that will stabilize picture as you can see on video. Also would be cool if possible to use Z axis (closer or further away from the dashboard)

Anyway we have track file from game and view from our eyes so seems to me this actually could be realized using not in cockpit` head but another head that would be overlayed on track file

Isn't this exactly how VR works? My tracks show how I moved my head down to sub-millimeter precision. Could this be used to create footage, then simply apply all the rest (color grading etc) in post and take the footage from the track (with the possible issues, of course, that track replay is notoriously fickle).
