Strongbow Posted February 10, 2024 Posted February 10, 2024 Hi Guys, Has anyone else had the problem where after reloading at an airfield or FARP, the FCR won't scan. I have turned it off and on again. I have done all the usual stuff but for some reason I cannot get this to scan. It doesn't happen every time. I have reloaded and the FCR work but every now and again it just won't scan. Any advice would be gratefully received. Apologies if this has already been in the forum. I did search but didn't find an answer. Thanks.
NeedzWD40 Posted February 10, 2024 Posted February 10, 2024 Reload or repair? If you shut off after initially starting up, you can lose the FCR; this is an acknowledged issue: 2
Strongbow Posted February 11, 2024 Author Posted February 11, 2024 Thanks for the reply. It happens after reloading. I don't think I have ever repaired my Apache. Its either down on the pad in good condition or it is scrap and the rotor blades are on the other side of the map to the fuselage.

MrJoel Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 I actually came here to see if there was an issue with the FCR. I have yet to be able to scan. I have tried it with both cold and hot start. Made it part of the default hardware of the unit in the mission editor. I have also tried it in 3 different missions. I have searched for something that I am missing, but based on everything I see it seems like it should be working. The unit is powered, The FCR screen is up, but when I click to s-scan or c-scan nothing seems to happen other than seeing the rocker switch on the left stick move in the indicated direction. UncleStains Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Did you use the sight select switch left to choose FCR as your sight?
corbu1 Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Besides FCR sight select. Are your weapons systems armed? I recommend reading the FCR and weapons employment chapters in the actual AH-64D early access guide. Especially the weapons employment chapter shows detailed the steps (buttons, switches) for using the FCR with the different weapons. The actual guide can be downloaded from ED‘s download page DCS Version: 2.9.15.9408 Modules: UH-1H - SA342 - KA-50 BS3 - MI-24P - MI-8MTV2 - AH-64D - CH-47F - OH-58D - UH-60L(Mod, n.i.) - OH-6A(Mod, n.i.) - A-10CII - F-16C - F/A-18C - AJS37 - F-14 - MiG-21bis - JF-17 - Mirage F1 - FC2024 -Combined Arms - Supercarrier - NTTR - Normandy2.0 - Channel - Persian Gulf - Syria - SA - Sinai - Afghanistan - Kola - Iraq - Cold War Germany — Waiting for: BO-105 - AH-1G/F(Mod) DCS-Client: 9800X3D, 64GB 6200, RTX3090, 1TB M2 NVMe(win10), 4TB M2 NVMe(DCS), VR VivePro2, PointCTRL, VaicomPro, Wacom Intuos S with VRK v2Beta DCS-DServer: 11600KF, 64GB 3600, GTX1080, 1TB M2 NVMe(win10), 2TB M2 NVMe(DCSDServer), DCS Olympus Simpit: NLR Flightsim Pro Cyclic: TM Warthog Grip with 30cm Extension + VPforce Rhino FFB FW Stick: TM Warthog Grip and Base, Throttle: TM Warthog Pedals: Komodo Sim. with Dampers Collective: VPC Rotorplus+AH-64D Grip Other: NLR HF8, Buttkicker (3*MiniConcert), TotalControls AH64D MPD‘s and EUFD, Alain Dufour’s AH-64 TEDAC, TM MFD, Streamdecks (1*32,3*15,1*6), VPC CP#1
