Distiler Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Does anybody knows if we'll be able to launch a unique gui for all modules? or each module will have it's own gui, executable, etc? would it be nice if one can add modules to the same main menu, a bit like Lomac. I don't want to fill my desktop with one single player icon and one multiplayer icon for each module XD AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
Yskonyn Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Thanks, now that I read the imdb entry and saw some screenies I think I've actually seen this movie. :) Distiler you don't have to litter your desktop at all. Just create a folder and put all the shortcuts in there if we're going to have seperate executables for every module. Keeps things nice and tidy. ;) You can even change the icon of the new folder to a nice Black Shark icon so it doesn't show the default windows folder icon. The main thing I wish is a main menu/gui that evolves and integrates all modules and single/multi player modes, like Lomac main menu: First: http://www.avsim.com/pages/0803/lomac_preview/lomacpic/main_menu.jpg With Flamming Cliffs (su-25T): http://img130.echo.cx/img130/7388/lomac1ok1kd.jpg Edited April 11, 2009 by Distiler AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
Yskonyn Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 If ED doesn't go this way we might have a few skillful people here in the community creating a nice startup utility. Afterall we already have DCSMAX. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asus Z390-E, 32GB Crucial Ballistix 2400Mhz, Intel i7 9700K 5.0Ghz, Asus GTX1080 8GB, SoundBlaster AE-5, G15, Streamdeck, DSD Flight, TM Warthog, VirPil BRD, MFG Crosswind CAM5, TrackIR 5, KW-908 Jetseat, Win 10 64-bit ”Pilots do not get paid for what they do daily, but they get paid for what they are capable of doing. Afterall we already have DCSMAX. ;) In fact ED is going to give to the community some tools to develop gui. Isn't it cool when community does the work for you? XD But the question remains, it would be nice if ED does it. Having two launchers for each module is ugly, not very elegant. I hope they integrate the old low-res multiplayer gui into the new single-player gui someday. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=31052 Edited April 11, 2009 by Distiler AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
