JonasM Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 (edited) Hello, I am new to this forum and also fairly new to DCS, though I have played a lot of FS2020 before. To learn the basics of DCS, I have watched many YouTube videos, and now I believe I understand the absolute basics, but I am by no means an expert. To get quick help, I have created my own GPT filled with information from various sources, such as: - DCS's official manual - OFFICIAL NATOPS for the F/A-18ABC, F-16 and AJ 37 Viggen I have also added the manuals for these modules, along with Chuck's guides for them. Additionally, the model has been loaded with "Fighter Combat – Tactics and Maneuvering" by Robert L. Shaw. Therefore, if anyone deserves cred, it is obviously the authors of these guides, books, and manuals. I did this to quickly get answers to rather specific questions, which can often be hard to find quickly online, and I think it has provided me with quite good answers and explained things in an educational way. I would like to share this with anyone interested, and it is, of course, free to use for anyone with a subscription to OpenAI. It's called DCS Wingman and is available to try here: https://chat.openai.com/g/g-575ZXQ1Ha-dcs-wingman I welcome feedback and suggestions for improvements. I hope someone else besides me finds this useful. Edited February 26, 2024 by JonasM 1
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 26, 2024 ED Team Posted February 26, 2024 Hi JonasM interesting concept, but I must caution you with the use of NATOPS, there are lots of documents that can be found online, but that does not change the classification or restriction for various documents. I would suggest you be very careful about redistribution of such documents. I will paste our forum rule below to give you an idea 1.16 Posting of screenshots, images, file links, file sharing links, and copying and pasting information is prohibited if the source document has a limited distribution statement or it is classified. Limited distribution includes DoD Distribution Statement C, Distribution Statement D, Distribution Statement E, Arms Export Control Act, Export Administration Act, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) controlled sources. When posting aircraft, sensor, or weapon information more recent than 1980, you must also include the source of the document that demonstrates that it is 100% public and verified as not from a limited distribution source as listed. https://forum.dcs.world/guidelines/ thank you 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
