This isn't a normal crash. Whenever I try to start a game, a few seconds into the loading screen I get a message saying "DCS.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." There is no .crash file generated. If it helps, I just installed the game. And looking to see if anyone else has this problem, I noticed a lot of people say that the G15 keyboard, Microsoft Sidewinder mouse, and Saitek X52 joystick cause problems with the game. I am using all three of those.

Please supply some further information on your hardware, operating system and driver versions. If nothing else it will help us exclude those as a cause.

Also, have you checked if any of the solutions for X52 problems and so on posted in those threads work for you?

Also, I found in the error message there is a part that says,

"AppName: dcs.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.0 ModName: dinput8.dll

ModVer: 5.3.2600.2180 Offset: 00015738"

Can anyone tell me what it means?

I changed my input devices and reinstalled\downgraded my drivers (I don't remember, but I don't really care). It worked. Now I'll try with my normal input devices, and I'll get back to you.

I LOVE YOU ACEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear, if you were sitting next to me right now, I'd hug you. I learned my problem was my G15. All I need to do now is just switch out my keyboards whenever I want to play. Not too much to ask for for this game.
