I don't understand why the B-17s fly around in circles as opposed to completing their tasking.

Hi we fixed by removing the waypoint 2 formation instruction for the tail element and removing one bombing command and changing the other bombing command to “carpet bombing”. It now all works as I presume you intended. Carpet bombing command is the best and only option when using “Big Formation” to ensure all the bombers carry out the specified tasking. 

We also added passive defence to all the aircraft groups.
