Affinity?

I have a dual core and have seen the affinity tool mentioned. Someone said to alt-tab out of a mission, but all that does is minimize my window. Any help would be appreciated.

Awesome skin. I installed it with MM and it works fine under DCSMax. Any more?

 

If you are using DCSMax, you are already using an affinity tool. No need to alt-tab.

 

The alt-tab method is if one does it manually - you would then alt-tab out after starting the simulation and manually set affinity on the process through the process manager.

there are a number of tools for affinity available , DCS Max is very good ... do a search, but if you want to set it manually, alt-tab, then run up the task manager, then set affinity on the process that you want (right click on the process) and select BOTH CPU's.

 

My understanding is that if your are using Vista/Win7 you will get a perfromance boost (but not under XP?)
