Cannot disable "Hand Controllers Use Cockpit Stick" in VR

I have a physical cockpit that has heptic feedback through the stick and would like to useit in VR, however I cannot disable the "Hand controllers use cockpit stick" option on the VR settings tab.

I had this problem too. But it was a while ago. I seem to remember that not clicking directly in the box seemed to work. Trying clicking just outside the box. Hopefully this helps.

Edit with notepad: Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua

["hand_controllers"] = false

[streakeagle]

While in the cockpit, you can bring up the options menu and this check box can be toggled.
