Nice work, STONE SKY! 👍 Quality stuff, no doubt!

One question with regards to the skins included in the campaign:

I noticed that the campaign comes with a multitude of liveries for, chief amongst, Mi-24P and Ka-50. I am, however, not finding them in the mission editor (under any Redfor country). I am specifically looking for the modern (digital) liveries. You know anything about that?

Thanks in advance!

Hey! Thanks for your feedback.
There is no livery for the Mi-24 in the campaign
Hokum B livery for the Ka-50 is available for any coalition - checked now
The Akula livery for the Su-27 is available in any coalition where the Su 27 is available - checked now.
Same for Su-33
Same KC-135

And JF-17 also PMC livery is available where JF-17 can be selected

I checked in the united red and blue coalitions, and in Russia.

If suddenly you couldn’t see them in the editor (most likely this is a bug), then take them directly from the campaign folder

I see. I checked it again, and indeed, Mi-24P is not listed with new liveries. I guess the confusion came from the newsletter:

It would be weird if it was pure PR, as never before have there been visuals in official content letters to the community, which contained something that wasn't in vanilla DCS (not modded). I'll check with the ED staff about this then 👍

Thanks again!

I don't know if it's a bug or on my end, but when I try to switch to the R-828 on the right channels using the radio source selector (to the third switch) no sound or messages come up unlike the R-863

You switched correctly!
Have you set the right channel?
The P-828 panel is located on the left near your shoulder. You should set the desired channel, and press the AUT button and hold it until the light goes off.

I thought the R-828 was used by setting the switch to VHF, not P-828? I found that in a tutorial but could be obsolete/wrong of course.

Yesterday in M03 I set it (Channel 2 on R-828, pressing "Auto-tuner" until the light goes out) then set the main selector switch (as in the picture) to VHF. I had the text from the controller, but no sound. Volume on the R-828 was checked and at the maximum. I heard the other (R-863) communications just fine.

Ok so I solved that one, it was user error.

In M06 (CSAR) I encountered a small issue. The AI Mi-8s (Enfield 1-1) keep giving their position on the radio. This is very annoying as it is interfering with the voice-overs ; I missed a couple of instructions due to that and found the enemy only by doing a grid search. I would recommend setting them to not report their position.

Good day! Thank you for your feedback.
Here's the problem for me as the author.
The thing is that these helicopters are set to 127.5, and they can't transmit their reports.
And this made sense until the latest DCS update.
The AI either switched to the controller's frequency on its own, or the frequency separation broke - I can't figure it out.
Thanks again. I will fix it!
To avoid hearing the AI reports, try disabling AI radio communications in the DCS settings.

Hi, I don't think this was on the controller frequency (R-863), I heard them regardless of the channel I was on (9 or 10). Since I typically turn on all radios when I power the helo, I must have had one on 127,5 by default as well.

Could be a DCS bug that AI doesn't respect the "don't report waypoints" command? You might also try to set them to a stupid frequency like 111.11 so there is no chance of hearing them.

All in all, not a huge issue, more of a quality-of-life improvement. Thanks for your hard work. 🙂

Thank you!
I'll write to ED about this. Your R-863 radio is tuned only to the channels prescribed in the briefing, and it cannot broadcast 127.5, otherwise you will not hear radio traffic. Therefore, this is where the error lies.
Do you have any add-ons or third-party modules for radio in DCS?

Hi, I have SRS like most people but if it isn't connected (like in singleplayer) it is not active I believe. I don't use other mods, only some asset packs.

AI location reporting.

Good day everyone. IMPORTANT INFO on the problem with constant AI location reporting.
In general, I was unable to silence the AI using the editor.
It does not report WPs, but it constantly reports that it has occupied the holding area.

But one user reminded me where this function is turned off and on in the DCS menu.
SETTINGS - GAMEPLAY - Turn off Allied Flight Reports.
SETTINGS - AUDIO - Turn off AI Spitch

This is the only solution now.
I will forward the information to the ED, and supplement the instructions for the campaign and other campaigns, for the convenience of users. Enjoy the game everyone!
