Well, it mostly depends on what you are expecting from a head/eye tracker. "Better" can be very subjective.

For instance, I use Tobii Eye Tracker 5, and it is better for my needs, as I hate having to wear a headset.

Other people will prefer Track IR, because they find it more accurate, with more smooth tracking.

I wish I could tell you the difference, but so far, Tobii ET5 is the only eye tracking device that I have ever used.

I don’t know of any other or better head tracking device than TrackIR. Tobii is a bit different as it’s actually face and eye tracking. Many people seem to get good results from both. I’ve never used anything but TrackIR so I can’t speak for other options. My guess is that wearing sensors is just inherently more accurate.

Started using Beam Eye Tracker after using all of the other solutions and my opinion is that it is better value for money than trackir and tobii. So if you have a spare webcam lying around? Worth it imo
