  1. I know that but I would like it to behave more like how it does in MSFS 2020. Where you have to hold down the RMB and then move the mouse to pan. I don't like how you have to click to activate it. I want to be able just to hold down and then move the mouse to pan around. If you understand what I mean.
  2. Already have Track IR. But sometimes I just like to PAN around the cockpit with the mouse instead. Is there a way to bind it to the Right Mouse Button? That's how it is in MSFS 2020. Also is there a keyboard shortcut to reset the camera back to the default position?
  3. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I was able to fix the problem by readjusting all those points on the graph. And also set profile to smooth as someone suggested. Now I just need to fine tune it to my liking.
  4. I am using the plastic reflector thing that attaches to the brim of a hat. What is that?
  5. I've been interested in this addon, but have heard people said it's not worth it. I would like to hear from others on here if they feel the same. Is it outdated?
  6. This is how my Track IR settings look when I'm sitting looking directly straight at the TV.
  7. I just did a test and it seems in the Track IR app those 3 green dots all disappear when I look left/right and downwards. Maybe I should increase the angle when I'm looking in either of those directions so I don't have to tilt my head down so much in order to not lose sight of the green dots?
  8. Here, I took a pic. The blue line represents roughly where the height of my eyes would be from Track IR's sensor.
  9. The issue I'm having is when I'm turning my head to the left/right and downward (looking towards the console on the F18) the focusing will get out of whack like it can't pick up on what I'm trying to look at, and then somehow the view defaults back to the rear and I have to kind of move my head around and try it to reset the view back to the front and center of the cockpit. I fly the F18 and it makes it almost impossible to access the side console, especially the further back part of the side consoles is where the problem begins. Turning to the left/right looking outside of the canopy is fine though. It only happens when I turn left/right and look down towards the console that this happens.
  10. I posted about this issue about 4 years ago right when the hornet got released and sad to see that it still exists. Please ED, can you fix this for those of us who play at higher resoluions? It's a pretty big issue because you're constantly lookint at the main hud. The font, lines, symbology is too thick and bold. How come the HUD on the HMD looks right. But not the main HUD? If you can get the main HUD to look as sharp and crisp as the HMD's, that would be much better.
  11. I thought it was just me having this issue, but seems to me that a lot of us are experiencing the same issue with the HUD on the F18/F16 being too thick and blurry. I have tried modifying those values in the lua file that was mentioned in here. It fixed the problem with the HUD and made it thinner and much more crisp and sharp. However, it also made the font and symbology on the 3 DDI screen also thinner. Is there a way we can independently adjust the thickness of the main HUD without affecting the DDI's? I find it strange that the HMD's HUD looks perfect in 4k It doesn't have the same thick and blurry issue as the main HUD. 1. 55" Samsunk 4K HDTV (Running DCS at 3840x2160) 2. No, just a single display 3. No mods or reshade 4. I have tried messing with the brightness knob and no matter what I set it to, the problem remains.
  12. When will the update be out? That looks outstanding! Are you redoing all the default liveries?
  13. I don't seem to have a file called Display_StrokeDefs.lua in my X:\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit folder at all. There is no 'Displays' Folder in there.
  14. I play in 4K and also have this problem with the HUD elements being too thick. I've posted about this issue years ago and it seems like the problem still exists for me. I notice this in the F16 and F18 that I fly in. I have also tried that fix that you mentioned. Somebody posted that file and I downloaded and replaced it for the F18 and it didn't seem to change anything. But I will give your solution a try and see it it fixes it.
  15. Like I've mentioned, I've already done that and it doesn't help at all. Still looks too thick. It seems like this problem exists in 4K only, cause from the videos I've seen online the HUD fonts, symbology, lines all look very crisp, thin and sharp when DCS is used at lower resolutions. In 4K, the HMD HUD looks crisp. So I'm not sure why the HUD is thick, while the HMD's HUD looks nice and sharp.
  16. Coming from X-Plane 12 and MSFS 2020, the airport lighting could use some much needed improvements. The blue edge lighting in particular looks really bad. And I feel that the taxi lights from the plane shining onto the ground at night is a bit too overpowering also. If this hasn't been mentioned, I hope ED can improve on this to make dawn/dusk/night flying a much better visual experience.
  17. I am in search of a really beautiful map in terms of landscape, biomes, etc to experience DCS in. I currently have the Nevada, Persian Gulf, and the default Caucus and Marianas but I'm not really feeling them. They lack the visual appeal and variety. I think they're too flat and kind of boring to fly around in. I've seen a few videos of the Syria map and from the looks of it, it seems to be on par with what I'm looking for. But curious to what you guys think about the map compared to the ones that I've mentioned. Sinai also looks pretty good too, but Syria seems to be better.
  18. I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly. But how would velcro fix the problem? Do you mean in the Track IR app where you can see the green dots? If so, then yes I believe it's already set properly but I will recheck again.
  19. Thanks so much for this! One would think that the default cockpit view would have the HUD already aligned. Also, is there a quick way to view certain parts of the cockpit, such as the left console, right console, etc? I would like to bind them to my mouse for quick access to them.
  20. Thanks for that! Have you guys heard of Olympus? I just found out about it and it looks amazing.
  21. Does anyone know of any good places to find in depth tutorials on how to use the latest mission editor? Also are older mission editor files compatible with the latest version of DCS?
  22. I am creating a mission and was wondering if you don't own certain modules, would you still be able to spawn them in the mission editor? For example I don't own the Apache 64 helicopter and wanted to place them down in the ME as targets or props so that I can shoot them down during the mission. Whether it be single player or an online multiplayer one. Of course I won't be able to use the module since I didn't purchase and own it. But at least will I be able to place them down as props (targets), etc?
