i have a trouble with my connection MP, and i return in 2.8.8.43704_openbeta for test
because I was able to notice on 2.9 a drastic drop in fps when missiles were launched, otherwise I stabilized at 60 fps and suddenly missile launch and 8 fps???
well let's admit like many and certain super computer engineers with 64 cores and nvidia 6090s come back with the super ready-made sentence of a great sage: update your pc it's your pc!
let's admit, but since I already had a problem with multiplayer, I went back to version 2.8.8
I carried out the same mission in mono and in MT, (namely that in MT when downloading the automatically generated mission I have a return window without crashing and closing the game and no information in the log)
so I don't have an MT return in 2.9, but on the other hand I do have a return with the 2.8.8 version.
I blocked but fps in vsinc, fluidity in mt or all cores are working!
and fluidity in single core, so same stable 60 fps mission, no freeze, missile launch or not!

I have the impression that the devs tried to code the missiles or others on certain cores, but suddenly it doesn't work!
does not actually work if on large computers it is almost imperceptible although some have noted a big drop in performance.
What's interesting about this story is that they're trying to improve this game and that's very good!, but it's possible that they only have super calculators!
and as a result this does not allow them to see what is as big as a lantern with a PC which normally worked very well with version 2.8.8.......
so for me it's a coreshare coding issue because to drop more than 50-80 fps in a single build there is definitely a big balance problem in the code!
Thank you for your and thank you to DCS for taking steps to find a compromise.

i get the feeling that English isn't your first language, so it's not entirely clear to me what you are saying or asking...

but, i am not experiencing a 50fps drop... (if there were associated with missiles or anything else, there would be a huge thread of disgruntled users) so my guess is something else is going on that might be outside of DCS.

thx for return, i just see that in version 2.9 and not in 2.8 i have a big drop fps on mission générated whith missiles, when attack stop maybe because all plane have not stuff,i recup my fps in stable 60 fps ans all the game is normal, is very strange, i have réinstall 3 times 2.9 ,and yes is not my first language 🙂 ,and is google traduction

there would be a huge thread of disgruntled users ,not sure . maybe they think they have a bad computer and need upgrade, all people say that ,
i see on discord group : play at other game and come back in 3, 6 month. if is a pb, maybe is good, dev have this info .

if you think you have a bug... you need to add a track showing the bug... and this is no crowd of shrinking violets ... trust me there would be a fuss...

for me it's not a bug it's just a performance problem, because they're trying to change the code to run in MT! if I had a bug it would also be with 2.8, which isn't the case in fact, or even I had all the MT cores working perfectly!
But that's what I was saying, your hardware is high-performance, which would mean that this kind of problem for me would be invisible for you, but on the other hand the problem would still be there and exponential to boot! but hey, if you say so! and I change translator  🙂

i measure my performance very carefully as i am in VR any change to performance has a massive impact ... even as a little of 1 or 2ms per frame has a massive impact on VR performance.

as i said if you have a problem record a track running a mission before in 2.8 and another in 2.9 so you they can compare and contrast...
