ogiedogg Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I was curious if there was any idea or projected cost for these new aircraft planed for release every 9 months? Will these be free updates if you own Black Shark already or half the cost of the original price of BS?????
Konovalov Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I strongly doubt very much that they would be free. It would be nice but commercial suicide for the developers. IMO if any additional module is up to the same kind of standards as BS then I would have no problem paying near the same sort of price. GGTharos Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 The best way to think about it is that these are separate stand-alone simulations which are meant to be network-compatible with other modules. As such, they are full-priced. No free of half-price aircraft addons. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Dusty Rhodes Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Full price for a stand alone simulation which MIGHT/MAY be compatible with other stand alone full price simulations from the same company. As I understand it, it is still up in the air whether the sims will interact in multiplay with each other. Distiler Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 (edited) It might be an old press release, but I suppose it's still an official document/statement: Each of these aircraft will be available in retail and online and can be purchased as stand-alone simulations or integrated with other modules. It will also be possible to purchase each aircraft as an add-on at a reduced price for consumers that have already purchased a “DCS” module. Oddly now I can't find the full press release in TFC or ED page. You can read it in simHQ for example: http://www.simhq.com/_air10/air_325a.html Edited April 21, 2009 by Distiler AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
jctrnacty Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I still hope ED will make those addons fully integrable, something like IL-2 a its addons.
