Quanun Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 (edited) Hi everyone! I would love to have a feature in the mission editor where i can assign a previously recorded track(file) to an AI unit (Plane) so it would "refly" it. I often lack the time and skill to engage in Multiplayer-Events but i want to practice things like Formationflying and other Multi-Plane "adventures". Unfortunatlly i also lack the skill to "program" AI Units via the Mission Editor to act "natural" (or at least how i would expect it). Beeing able to fly a formation-lead track, save it, assign it to an AI = Let "it" refly the track while flying the wingman part would be awesome and offers alot of other interesting opportunities i think. Sorry if there already is a way to do this! Thanks and keep up the great work! Richard Edited April 28, 2024 by Quanun 3
Slippa Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 Oh, reading my mind yesterday were you? I was thinking the same thing after messing about with recording tracks. Imagine mission builders being able to fly the whole squadron individually, or maybe just a section. Would be a ridiculous amount of work but would knock the crap out of the AI efforts at being wingmen. Like yourself, I dunno if it’s possible? Oh, and welcome . 1
MAXsenna Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) That should be easy enough. Make a two ship, fly the leader. Save track. Run track and jump in the wingman. Except I assume the leader won't follow the recorded track. Excellent idea! Too bad I can't give the thread Edited February 2 by MAXsenna 1
