f16sim Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Hi, When switching from Cockpit View to HUD Only View (ALT + F1), there is a slight increase of brightness and/or decrease of contrast of the surrounding landscape. Is there a way to get rid of this effect? Which lua file should I edit? Thanks
YoYo Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 This problem is related not only to this, sometimes also to the transition from F10 map to the cockpit, it is partially solved, but sometimes it still appears. It's best to record the track when it happened. 1 Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro
f16sim Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 Thanks. I have searched the installation folders for .lua files containing HUD_ONLY_VIEW but so far, I haven’t found where the brightness/contrast change is made. I am trying to fine-tuning the image from my three projectors in HUD Only View and need to get rid of the brightness/contrast change.
Wyvern Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 That may have to do with the glass on the cockpit being slightly tinted I have 600GB in skins in my Saved Games. 200GB of that is probably made by myself. Check out my DCS UserFiles section Join the Official Deka Ironwork Simulations discord server!
f16sim Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 The attached image shows the problem in my simulator. The HUD symbols in the left part of the image is almost unreadable against a bright background. So please, does anyone know, if it is possible to edit a .lua or a config file to get rid of the brightness/contrast change? As a pitbuilder, I don't see any other options than using the HUD Only view so having some ways of customizing it, would be great for the pitbuilder community.
