redcoat22 Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 Has anyone else had luck getting the TRIMS Neo device to work in DCS? I would have expected it to more or less work in DCS but it hasn't.
zcaa0g Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Does it happen to show up in the Windows game controller applet? It's generally useless given its age, but curious if it shows up there. I know Virtual Fly specifically states their products are compatible with P3D, MSFS, and X-Plane so they may be doing something proprietary in nature, which would be unfortunate.
redcoat22 Posted May 23, 2024 Author Posted May 23, 2024 Their throttle shows up, but the TRIMS does not. Really annoying. Why would you make a controller so limited in capability.

Yeah, I was thinking about getting their TQ6+, but wasn't sure if it was proprietary where it would work in P3D, MSFS, and X-Plane, but NOT IL2 and DCS. So it sounds like the Trims is proprietary to the civ sims. Bad decision on their part.
zcaa0g Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 I asked about their TQ6+, but they also mentioned the Switcho Trim: Both the TQ6+ and Switcho Trims are compatible with a wide range of flight simulators, not just P3D, MSFS, and X-Plane. However, there are a few exceptions to note: For the TQ6+, the REV zone functionality won't be compatible, although this feature is not typically crucial for IL2 and DCS. For the Switcho Trims, the four landing gear lights won't be compatible.
