450Devil Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 Page 699 describes the Context Actions which "(by default V) allows for intuitive cooperation and exchange between Pilot and WSO". The Duration column for BVR-Lock (Drop Lock but keep target in focus) and Dogfight (Lock/Unlock contact ahead) there is a comma (,) between the short and long duration context action symbols. Does the comma denote a space or a pause needs to occur between the short and long context action commands? If so, how long should be pause be?
Grundar Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 (edited) I read it as a brief pause i imagine it would be a pause for maybe the length of a short press - so short press, wait as if doing another short press, then long. Edit: The manual seems to indicate that it is an OR option, so either one short press or one long press by the looks of it. Could be an issue I guess if there are targets in dogfighting range and some still in BVR. https://f4.manuals.heatblur.se/jester/combat/overview.html?highlight=context#context-action Edited May 26, 2024 by Grundar Manual link
Zabuzard Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 It is "OR", yes. Both commands have the same function in this situation.
