Question on Varjo Aero - do I have to use SteamVR with this because of the base stations?

Hey guys, this comparison says I need the "SteamVR 2.0" base stations to operate the Aero:

Does that mean I have to play DCS (or play in general) via SteamVR instead of OpenXR?

Yes Aero uses steamvr for the tracking/base station

No you do not need to play the game via steamVR/OpenVR and can use OpenXR
