Struggling with manual bomb delivery

I am struggling a bit with manual bomb delivery. Specifically the release time logic.

OK I set the sight depression as needed (around 55), have my dive angle between 10 and 12, my speed at 420 KIAS. Set fuse to INST. Relase safetyies and trigger guards. All good.

Around 1800 feet slant dist, I press weapon release. But bombs do not actually . Instead they separate some few seconds later. But I cannot tell of weapons separate at press or after, or the press has to be longer then 1 second. Right nnow I am working with 500lb MK82 and French SMP250 LD. As their depr. angles are same as for F4 rockets pods. 

Rockets release fine and hit where they should. Same for guns.

If you are using salvo mode, there is a sort of 1s delay. For me it is mostly visible for Rockets.

However, be aware that gravity depression tables are no valid in the Kneeboard.

Also checkout this video that explains how to avoid looking at the altimeter by placing your 'wing HUD/velocity vector' (it isn't a real velocity vector obviously) after the target and wait for the sight to be on the target to release the bombs.
However, it seems this video has been made before DCS update on bombs so I use a depression of 130/135 instead of 100 as per the video.
With this I am pretty accurate for dumb bombs but for now, I am struggling with Guns....

Depr of 50 for guns seems to work well with 10-15 deg dive at 420 knots.

2 nm slant distance for 50 deg depr with 10-15 deg dive at 420. 

I don't like these old school analog weapon delivery computers. They lock you into particular and predictable attack profile. But thats what was availabe nack in 1950's and 1960's when these systems were developed.

Still does not resolve my original problem. Weapon release! When hold down bomb release, the bombs dont release at press time. Instead they release at some point after depress, or unpress. I cant tell whats actually happening. Replay does not tell me whats going on, as I cant rewind.

I have never had that problem I checked just now in the CE as I press the bomb missile etc button they drop. I am not sure why you are having that issue.

There is no release feedback that I detect. Once bomb release is oressed, there is no RELEASE tone, no thonk as clamps release, no up-bump as aircraft is lightened, no light flash. I figure I have to repeat the process untill I feel the subtleties. \

What is suppoused to happen? DO the weapons release instanteneously upon press, or is it a long 1 second press. 2 seconds?

They release instantly on press, I have not experienced the behaviour you describe.
