Gunnergolly Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 I'm running a Crystal on an RTX 4090 and use OpenXR Toolkit to upscale (CAS) the image to 3500x4142. Still playing around with Quadviews companion, currently running Horizontal/Vertical focus size at 32% FOV, Foveate Res 180% and Peripheral Res at 6%. I have until recently been upscaling higher but i'm finding the new Razbam F4 a bit of a performance hogger in VR so have had to drop the res to the above settings to try and maintain FPS at 72...... at all times. I was just wondering what resolution are you guys running your Crystals at ??.. Win 11 Home 64Bit, i7-13700K@5.2Ghz Water Cooled, 32 Gb RAM, PNY RTX4090, Pimax Crystal, Quest Pro, Realsimulator FSSB R3 ULTRA, Virpil/Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS combo, MFG Crosswind Pedals.

My experience and what was recommended by mbuchia was to just use pimax play to handle resolution , not OpenXR toolkit . for me I’m not even using OpenXR toolkit any longer , just pimax xr and QuadViews. If I want better performance I will tweak that resolution setting and/or lower my pimax play setting lastly I suggest going to the DCSVR discord and asking questions there - you’ll get some good recommendations hope that helps

Gunnergolly Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 (edited) Thanks for your replies. Just to clarify in Pimax play under the "Games" tab i have a "Render Quality" option which defaults to "Maximum" (value of 1) ...... is this where i increase the resolution by clicking customise and increasing the slider ??. Sure, you can choose from one of those three options, or click on "Custom" to adjust the render quality according to your preference.

Gunnergolly Posted June 3, 2024 Author Posted June 3, 2024 Thanks..... for some reason i thought that slider was only if you used SteamVR so i never bothered with it......
