6bucks Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 I was an F-4 crewchief at Clark AB Philippines and worked on this plane many times. Can anyone identify the logo circled in the photo? This is the best picture I've been able to find. Actually, the only one. Unfortunately it crashed on take-off going back to home station (Clark AB), the aft caught fire during take-off. Once airborne, aircrew ejected successfully...aircraft crashed into the Yellow Sea off the coast of airbase.
XpRiV Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Could it be the 90th Fighter Squadron?? 1 ASUS TUF Gaming B760M PLUS WiFi - i7-14700KF - Zotac RTX 4080 Super - 64GB DDR5 - 4TB M.2 SSD - Thrustmaster Warthog - Samsung G5
6bucks Posted June 13, 2024 Author Posted June 13, 2024 Thank you sir. I believe you are correct since my wife and I both have the 90th patches from when we were there. I appreciate you jogging my memory, and having much better eyes than me. 1
LanceCriminal86 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I found another jet, wish I could find closer shots but proving difficult. Definitely 90th but I'd like to see if I can find the design as we do want to add some 90th skins in Heatblur Rivet Counting Squad™ VF-11 and VF-31 1988 [WIP] VF-201 & VF-202 [WIP]
bucklehead Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 (edited) 6bucks, thank you so much for creating this. Is there a layer problem with the underside of your skin? A few shots of 69-7555. Lance is correct, I've combed through several archives and cant seem to find a great view of patch on the intake. I hope the user files section gets flooded with Clark birds haha!
