New SimHaptic for bass shakers works great!

Pertaining to Helictopers only.

 

           ---Helictoper Ground Effect---

"So I've thought a lot about this, I believe for helicopters there should be a few more options under ground effects for sound. Less of a wind noise and more of a shaking or rumble sound, for instance the "Shakings 2" sound from Stall buffet would be a great and easy addition for ground effect. The current ground effect is great for fixed wing, closing in on the ground, however with rotary, your ground effect is more of  a turbulent feeling from the rotor wash. You can feel it and hear it in helicopters, it's quite exciting to feel in real life. In addition I believe there should be some shaking effect for the ground effect as an option as with helicopters this would be much more immersive. Possibly customizable shaking like engine rumble? 

Hoping these are easily added as after much use and testing I believe this would be the most beneficial effects for rotary.

I have 9 bass shakers (listed below), will SimHaptics support all of them being in use? I also have 3 or 4 other smaller units that I've been too lazy to install, but I'm mostly just looking to confirm I will be able to use them all before I mess with starting the 7 day trial.  They are ran through two discrete soundcards (SoundBlaster X3's).

Hey! Yes, SimHaptic should handle it easily. Since SimHaptic supports sound cards with up to 5.1 channels, spread the shakers as evenly as possible between the two dedicated sound cards and you'll be good.

With the latest dcs update looks like my simhaptic is no longer working with my buttkicker plus.. am I the only one?

SOLVED, simhaptic switched to a wrong audio interface..dunno how it happened!

I'm new to all this Buttkicker SimHaptic stuff. Mine's not working yet. One thing I've noticed is that I don't have an "Update" tab. I downloaded SimHaptic about 5 days ago (activated not trial) and I only show the following tabs: MAIN, CLOUD, SETTINGS, ABOUT. That's it. I'm running version 2.1.7. How do I go about updating? I'm wondering if that's part of my issue. Or are updates now automatic and thus no tab necessary?

To update press the update button inside the app under update tab. If something goes wrong, you can manually update by visiting our downloads section at rkApps.shop. In case connection issues to DCS takes place, contact our live chat for help. Cheers!

My SimHaptic is suddenly not connecting to DCS not quite sure what has changed... literally happened within the last one week and there were no new updates from DCS..  does anyone have an idea??

The SimHaptic line in the lua file vanished by itself in my case. Reinstall SimHaptic.
