HOTAS movement overlay in training missions not registering my movements

The overlay shows in the top left, my stick and throttle are moving their mapped items and the helicopter reacts accordingly, but nothing moves in the overlay and therefore I am having a hard time progressing through the initial flight tutorial.

Have you cleared all double bindings in Pilot and Copilot input configs?

Do you have Game mode /Simplified Flight Model selected in Game play Options? I don't have Caucasus loaded to test but I recall there being some conflict with either game or simulation mode and training missions.
